Gourmet Jordans and an unhealthy addiction

Some of you will be familiar with my love of Gourmet shoes. Specifically the Quadici. But you may not know where it started. 

In 2007 a couple guys started making canvas shoes based on Jordans. All had a white sole and all jacked the most identifiable JB designs. 

They called them the "Cease" and "Desisto" and after their 2008 collection sure enough they did receive a cease and desist from Nike. 

They went on to Jack the air bubble for many models but the Gourmet Jordan's have been relegated to the depths of the Internet. 

6 years on and I still scour ebay once a week trying to uncover a pair. I did manage to find one pair - the 12 in black - and although the odds of finding another are slim I can't see myself stopping any time soon. 

Enough babbling. Enjoy the pictures.

Uncle Bob Weed about to be a thing

That’s right folks, stoners all over the world are about to lose their shit, as official ‘Bob Marley weed’ is going to become an actual thing.

A private equity firm have been allowed (by Bob’s family) to use the icon’s name to market a global brand of marijuana

Marley Natural products will include things like vaporisers, herbal cream, oil, storage equipment and of course, some of king Bob’s favourite weed strains.

The man in charge of the idea, Brendan Kennedy said: “This is what the end of prohibition looks like. Bob Marley started to push for legalisation more than 50 years ago. We’re going to help him finish it.”

Bob Marley smoked a pound of marijuana weekly and consistently preached the spiritual significance of getting stoned.

His family members who are also partners with Privateer Holdings – the company behind this – say Bob would have loved the idea.

Marley Natural plan on having everything up, running and available late next year.
