Jubilee hall done...
Kings basketball turns out the lights at Jubilee hall for the last time. Many people came through, some got turned away, some only lasted one session, some threw a tantrum.
My favourite memory has got to be the team talk at the second floor tunnel on May 25th. Good times.
Props to those who were there to experience Ted's talk and Kings basketball first training session.

Confirmed for November 27th - $175. Although not confirmed as part of the defining moments pack, expect them to come with another pair of elevens. My money is on the concordes..

I'm thinking players have the option to buy for them friends and family and we also open it up to the face book fan page, have them at the fund raiser maybe give some away free etc etc??!

First to three......
Quick update ladies......
Great session on Monday despite being hot as hell. Went over some offensive patterns, some defensive formations and did some 5 on 5. It's starting to come together and each week has seen an improvement. If you weren't there.. you better ask somebody.
Kings basketball is excited to announce it has secured Duffryn high school as its home court. The court has six rings, a semi sprung floor and is a great size. The sports complex was recently refurbished following a national lottery grant. The hall fits in well with our club and our future plans*. We will be holding a scrimmage @ Duffryn high this Friday 7 - 8 so come along and check out the home court (by invitation only).
We are hoping to keep our training/home games on a Monday night 8-10, but this is being arranged at present. We may need to switch to a different night however we are aiming to have our first session in Duffryn on Monday 13th July.
*Which include junior sessions. The aim being to develop our qualified coaches and develop youth talent providing a feed of players to the Kings senior team. Our junior coach's will be Mike H and Lloydy and we hope to start the junior sessions as soon as possible.
$
G Wagon hooked up some sponsorship from Diamond holidays to the tune of £600. We were also successful in our application to sports match our previous funding. So we received £600 from the sports council of Wales to be used for equipment.
Some of these funds have been used to purchase our uniforms, which should be in the 'diff within three weeks. We have also purchased all the relevant game equipment and will shortly be buying a match ball. The rest will go a long way to ensure we are able to play the rest of the season with no money troubles. If you do have anybody you think can help out the club please speak to us. More financial info coming soon...
We hope to further improve the club's financial position on August 8th with our race night fund raiser @ Gassy Jacks Cardiff - this is being finalised at present so as soon as we can pull the trigger we will inform you and begin promoting.
Once our uniforms are printed we will be in a position to start playing friendlies...
...Next training session Sunday morning Eastern leisure centre. 9 - 11.
Props to G for putting in some serious work over the last couple of weeks. Really holding this shit together! Props to Mike H for hooking up Duffryn and finding the new home of Kings Basketball. Good job to Antonio 'Dynamite' Brito for stepping up on Monday.
