So we rocked up to the brand new house of sport to play against the Warriors in the semi final of the cup.

They had a full team and we had

Josh
Lloyd

Hesham
Scotty and I.

We ran a zone but were just too small to compete sadly.

Shout out to Josh who broke his own scoring record dropping 37 in three quarters.

See ya!

Basketball Wales is sorry to announce the resignation of the Senior Men's Head Coach, Steve Williams. Coach Williams has been in charge of the team since 2007 and in that time, the national team programme has grown significantly, which is a testimony to Steve's involvement. Unfortunately, due to the increase in duties, roles and time required to fulfil the role of Senior Head Coach, Coach Williams is no longer able to commit the necessary time needed due to his work commitments.

Basketball Wales would like to take this opportunity to thank Steve Williams for all his hard work over the past years and Steve has indicated that even though he cannot commit to coaching the senior team, he will still be involved with the Welsh National Team in any way he can.

This one is for Wes

R.I.P KB

Ok guys this is the situation.

We will be continuing to run at Michael-stone hall every Friday night 7-9.

There are 14 children's sessions left to do which I would appreciate help with where possible. Subs will continue at £25 a month - which will include the Friday session, the Wednesday session and a couple of friendlies.

ALL of these sessions will be open runs charged at £3. Bring anybody along who wants to play. Obviously the more people the better.

The awards night/competition will be 30th August. The awards will be handed out, there will be a 3 point competition and one on one competition and some beers after.

The 30th August will be THE LAST KB session and the club will cease to exist.

Hopefully, by this date we will have cleared our debt and another club will be able to benefit from our arrangement.

The blog's, you-tube channel and face book page will stay up.

It's a shame

Kobe's are terrible to wear.

Special shout out to Timmy

Who has told anyone who would listen that the Lakers wouldn't make playoffs. Even when they got into the 8th spot.

Stern fixed it for them and tonight they made it in. Timmy literally would have bet his legs they weren't making it. He probably still thinks they won't now.

Craziest thing - my chick had tickets. Watched it live at staples.

Also a special shout out to Mikey Roberts who said Jeremy Lin wouldn't start this year, or make playoffs and would be forgotten about by now.

NBA season done.

To the people asking..

Bridgend is still popping.

75% off at Karmaloop though

Thanks Alexander

Chris Gibbons:

After 30yrs of playing sadly tonight I finally hang up my boots. It would’ve been nice to finish the season undefeated but at least we still finished Division 2 winners.

I’ve been grateful to all that Barry Huskies has given me throughout my time at the Huskies and I hope that I have gone some way to repaying all the time & effort that people have put into me & into making me not only the player I was but the person I’ve become.

I'd like to thank my 1st and most influential coach I’ve had Mr Dave Powell’s. Who taught me the game and pushed me to give 100% in everything I did out there. I also like to thank my 2 brothers Mark Gibbons & Ian Gibbons who taught me how to play hard, never give up & always watch out for each other’s backs.

To the player’s I’ve played with and against throughout the league. You’ve all had to put up with a lot from me and I’ve enjoyed the battle on and off the court. From a cocky 12 year old kid to today’s loud mouth getting on your nerves that I am today.

Most of all I’d like to thank Alun Rees the clubs unsung hero. Who without him The Huskies would’ve folded a dozen times over. He's always there willing to help the club & to push individuals to do things to help themselves and the club. It was him that pushed me into being a 1st aider, coaching, and the most valuable thing I’ve ever done REFEREEING. Thank you so much.

As I finish and after a tearful last game. I only wish you all well in my club and around our league & I pray that you all grow from strength to strength. But this can only be done by you. So remember it’s great to say "I play or played for Wales” but remember without the club’s & the individual’s that give up the free time to teach you we are just people with a bit of talent and hope your prepared to give back one day.

Good bye, thank you & I hope I can help you all someday for I am forever in this wonderful sports debt.

GO HUSKIES

How many girlfriends

Gonna be rocking the XI's with leggings this summer?

A random round up

I haven't had a chance to blog. I've been too busy/drunk. Mostly the latter. But then it is March/April. So here's what's up on a a variety of topics.

People missing from this Friday's session include Timmy, Lloydy and Wes. So far.

If you didn't watch this years NCAA tournament.. why not? It was much better than one born ever minute or east-enders. Apart from Kevin Wares injury. If you didn't see that google it. That was worse than Grease 2.

Mikey Holifield won this years bracket taking my title, and £90. Gutted. Well done Mikey.

North Korea are nuts. Google the Vice documentary filmed over there. They are some crazy ... people.

Josh now has a starting spot on the Under 18's Welsh team. At 16. And he is the current top scorer at 15 ppg. Crazy.

Word on the street is that 30% still on and popping.

My comments on the basketball website shouldn't be construed as our D was p00p. Just that our zone was no better than our man. Something that chap from Barry seems to be utterly fascinated with.

I have had 3 complaints today about lack of blogging. Don't you people have google?

Our training sessions on a Friday will now be open runs.. kind of pointless since the only person who came to our open runs is now in a cast thanks to Timmy "the hitman".

Speaking of which did everyone read that Cardiff and the Vale will now be refusing treatment to people who are obese or smoke? That is amazing. PUT DOWN THE CAKE. I would link it but if you are worried by this, you could probably do with the exertion is takes to find it yourself.

Did everyone see Lebron have a tantrum after the bulls whipped em? What a

We are stillllllllllll waiting on the KB awards picks from a couple of people. At least one of the awards is currently a three way tie. So it needs some deciding votes.

We are stillllllllllllllllllll waiting on the Warriors and Capitals to play their game from February to see who we play.

Spring Breakers comes out tomorrow. BEST. FILM. EVER.

We are still around £500 in the hole with the old hall fee's. So if everyone could pay their subs asap that would be great. Maybe I should send a text around.

I don't like that basketball website. Full of people who think they know more than they do being overly nice to each other.

Did you know - the most viewed article from this blog on an apple device all time was this years game against Beddau's stats round up? It's the one with the 4 first quarter points from February. That was a funny day.

Despite not following the NBA a great deal, the blatant fixing of games - i.e getting the lakers in the playoffs - is still baffling to me. Tony Kornheiser is on board. He has referenced the fixing several times. So much time for PTI.

Mikey Roberts is writing an end of year blog. As soon as he joins us in 2013 and is able to access the internet.

Word on the street is next year there will be two SWVL divisions with the line going right through div 2 to seperate them. It's an interesting conundrum for the commitee, since Beddau went undefeated last year in Div 3, then got whooped in div 2. Winning only 1 game.

CJ Miles is the hottest person on Instagram.

The question shouldn't be who are we picking up next year, the question should be how will the club survive financially without a cash injection of around £1,000.

The drums on TAMALE though.
